Personality:
Miles is the kind of helpful, friendly kid who will comment on people's street art in complimenting them or help movers haul in a couch to their truck as he passes. He has a job helping the homeless. He's a good kid. He's just also got some baggage in having had a rough time with losing his father. Even with that he was able to forgive Pete when he discovers the other is Spider-Man and that Pete was there at the time, just wasn't able to stop what happened to Jefferson. He shows this ability to believe in people through his relationship with Pete and through his conviction in dealing with Phin in the sequel game when his friend turns out to be the Tinkerer and he discovers her plan, which could stop the Roxxon group but destroy the city in the process. He wants to believe he can convince her to stop this. To rethink her strategy in how she deals with her desire for revenge after working for Roxxon got her brother killed.
In this, he does what is right. Even if it is hard. He's been raised by a cop and a teacher, so that helping others is just what he does. He has plenty of chances to take an easier path in turning Phin in, or in just letting her and Roxxon take care of each other and washing his hands of the situation that way. But he doesn't. He made a promise to Pete that he would keep the city safe and keep an eye on things and deal with it while Pete's away and that is what he does. He doesn't back down from the situation. He even fights and argues with his uncle about it, when his uncle tries to stop him from heading out and stopping Phin because he doesn't want to lose Miles too, after already having lost his brother.
Miles shows he is willing to work with others and get advice or help and support from them with his best friend Ganke creating the app as a way for the public to tell him when they might need his help for example, his messaging or calling Pete for support or advice and in eventually letting his mother find out about him being Spider-Man when he came home injured. So he has no issues in regards to working with others, being a team player if necessary if he knows others can help and he needs a hand to get things done. He is able to acknowledge that he cannot do everything on his own, alone.
These connections with others, that support is what sets him apart from Pete in a way in that Miles has more of a support system around him. Miles still keeps in touch with friends from school and all, even with moving for example. He doesn't go it alone the way Pete does, given he has certain key people in his life who are aware of the Spider-Man thing and this trust and this bond he has with them sets him up in a different way than how Pete operates.
He shows he is community oriented in helping anyone who requests a need for help. From helping find lost cats (adorable!) to stopping muggings and kidnappings and robberies or finding lost trucks for shops and their supplies, Miles will be there. He uses the app to reach out to the community, rather than focusing on the police and what they are attuned to happening in the city, which is one way he differs from Pete in the way he goes about handling things and how he gets the job done in keeping the city safe.
He shows some sentimentality through the time capsules he and Phin placed around the city which are collectibles you can discover as you explore the city in the game. He is sociable and loves his friends and family. He has people he admires like Pete (he loved Spider-Man when growing up, even before realizing Pete's identity later on with the first game), and his father especially.
He loves music and science, creating an energy converter with Phin at school previously, winning a competition because of it, and mixing beats with his uncle when he was younger together. So music and science are huge passions of his and the music of the game is often what Miles listens to while walking on the streets for example, so it really ties in with the game in showing his tastes. While Peter has his love of science, Miles has his passion with the arts. In this, he is shown in loving music but also in his passion with technology and in his admiring other people's street art as he walks down the roads. He stops and talks to them about their work, admiring what they do on the sides of the buildings.
He is also shown to be good with technology as well, in hacking even in the first game to get past his stealth sections in thus creating distractions for him to get past people unnoticed. So he has an interest in technology in this typical teenage sense, though most might not be into it in the hacking sense as he is in having developed an app to let him do that sort of thing. He and Ganke work on figuring his new suits and equipment as well, so he knows some science and such in figuring that with Ganke's help as well. He is a smart kid, and has been known to use that to his advantage in getting places he shouldn't, basically. And in using that with his whole Spider-Man gig.
Miles is shown to be determined and in some cases this recklessness can backfire, for example when he first starts out and jumps off a bridge, breaking his toe before Pete agrees to train him. He is so determined to believe in others and help them that this does put him in danger and result in him getting hurt. In the case with Phin in his stopping the reactor and absorbing the energy from it to protect the city, he could have killed himself. Which shows how far he is willing to go to keep others safe and protect those he cares about.
As far as insecurities go, Miles will obviously come with the big one in not wanting to lose anyone. He's already lost May who he was close to and worked alongside initially at the homeless shelter in the first game before she passes. He loses his father as well, and Phin in the end with the sequel game. He will thus be determined to do what he can in saving people from dying here even if some tiny part of him is aware that even he and Pete have limits and can't save everyone. It's going to take time in him accepting that so fresh after the loss of Phin in the end.
Miles is also newer to being Spider-Man, not having the years of experience like Peter, so of course there's some insecurity there in comparison to Pete and all he's done and been through and what Miles himself is still learning, in being mentored and trained by Pete. In this sense, he isn't as confident in his abilities, especially at first when he first starts out, nervous about Pete leaving and taking on that responsibility and balancing it with his regular life while Pete is gone overseas. At first, he says in his bio in the game in how he wonders if he is just a kid playing pretend at being a hero or if he could really do this.
Abilities/Powers/Weaknesses & Warping:
Spider Sense: Miles can, basically sort of sense danger. If something dangerous is happening nearby, he will sense that something is off to be able to (hopefully) react in time to get out of the way of an incoming attack for example of how he can use this. He is also able to get a sense when he is near someone else with the same abilities as him, alerting him to their presence and that they are the same, sort of a like recognizes like, I guess?
Spider Physiology: Miles has superhuman strength, speed, agility, can create webs to swing from/trap people in for example and can cling to solid surfaces with his feet and fingertips because of having been bitten by a genetically altered spider. He uses web shooters at his wrists to best control his webs to swing from the same as Peter did.
Camouflage/Invisibility: Miles has the ability to turn invisible. In regards to warping this, he will not be able to control when this happens or for how long, at least initially upon arrival until he stabilizes more.
Venom Strike: Miles can basically conduct energy through his hands and zap his opponent, or do this through conducting this through material if he and someone else are both in contact with it. This can knock people out as a result. In terms of warping for Deerington, this won't necessarily be something he can control on when this occurs.

OUT OF CHARACTER
Player Name: Caprica
Player Age: 30s
Player Contact:
Other Characters In Game: Sakura Kinomoto, Clementine, Yuichiro Hyakuya (I would drop at least one of these if Miles gets in so would still be keeping to just three characters at most. As a personal limit for myself in not going over that and I know there's probably certain expectations for someone to have more than three characters.)
In-Game Tag If Accepted: Miles Morales: Caprica

Are you comfortable with prominent elements of fourth-walling?: yes
What themes of horror/psychological thrillers do you enjoy the most?: Generally, the more psychological aspects of it in messing with characters in a more mental/psychological sense than there being gore for the sake of gore in horror? I like figuring the reasons behind why people do what they do?
Is there anything in particular you absolutely need specific content warnings for?: Eye stuff? Also spiders (hilarious I know in playing a Spidey but. True. I do not like them rl.) also child/animal cruelty/abuse. Cancer/terminal illnesses or needles.
